2011

  • 16-21st August: Celebration at Zhukovsky of the MAKS-2011 AirShow with the presence of two Tu-144 in different parts of the airfield. The aircraft were RA-77114 and the restored CCCP-77115.

2013

  • 21st August: The former NASA test pilot of Tu-144LL C. Gordon Fullerton dies at the age of 76 in Lancaster, California.

  • 27th August - 1st September: Celebration at Zhukovsky of the MAKS-2013 AirShow with the presence of two Tu-144 in different parts of the airfield. The aircraft were RA-77114 and the restored CCCP-77115.

  • 1st November: This website celebrates ten years online: www.tu144sst.com.

2015

  • 5th August: Starts works on aircraft RA-77114 to remove experimental devices and preparation of plane for put it on display close to the Zhukovsky airbase.

  • 25-30th August: Celebration at Zhukovsky of the MAKS-2015 AirShow with the presence of two Tu-144 in different parts of the airfield. The aircraft were RA-77114 and the restored CCCP-77115.

2016

  • 21st October: Unveiled the project to move Tu-144S registered CCCP-77107 from her current place in the Institute of Aviation of Kazan to a new place in the centre of the city and to put it on display as a monument.

2017

  • 15th April: After the disassembly of nose, wings, tail and engines, aircraft CCCP-77107 is successfully moved to her new location in the centre of the city of Kazan, close to the KNRTU-KAI buildings.

  • 11th May: On this day is celebrated the 85th anniversary of foundation of KIRTU-KAI and the aircraft CCCP-77107 looks in one piece because all parts, except engines, have been reassembled.

  • 26th May: Tu-144S registered CCCP-77107 performs her last “flight” helped for two cranes until her final resting place in the top of a pedestal in the centre of Kazan, close to the KNRTU-KAI buildings, where will be displayed as a monument.

  • 18-23rd July: Celebration at Zhukovsky of the MAKS-2017 AirShow with the presence of two Tu-144 in different parts of the airfield. The aircraft were RA-77114 and the restored CCCP-77115.

2019

  • 29th May: The administration of the city of Zhukovsky announced that the Tu-144LL registered RA-77114 will be installed as a monument to the world's first supersonic passenger plane.

  • 7-30th June: Aircraft 08-2 is moved to a special shed where she is cleaned and repainted in her former Aeroflot livery and is registered back to CCCP-77114 registration.

  • 12-16th July: After wings were removed, aircraft CCCP-77114 is moved to the intersection of Tupolev Street and Tupolev Highway, just in front of the main entrance to the Zhukovsky air base.

  • 19th July: For the first time in 15 years electrical systems of aircraft CCCP-77108 are reactivated. Helped by a GPU Gaz-66 the APU is started, cannards deployed and nose lowered and raised successfully.

  • 10th August: Tu-144LL registered CCCP-77114 performs her last “flight” helped for two cranes until her final resting place in the top three pillars at the entrance to the Zhukovsky air base, where will be displayed as a monument.

  • 24th August: The monument to the first supersonic passenger transport, the Tu-144, is inaugurated in Zhukovsky.

  • 27th August - 1st September: Celebration at Zhukovsky of the MAKS-2019 AirShow with the presence of one Tu-144, the restored CCCP-77115. For the first time visitors are welcome at the main gate of the air base by the aircraft CCCP-77114, recently restored to her former Aeroflot livery and registration.
