Pykhtino station - Moscow Metro

On September 6, 2023, the Pykhtino station on the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line of the Moscow Metro was opened. This station serves the Solncevo-Park residential complex and is the stop before Vnukovo Airport, the terminus station of said line.

The design of this station includes a mock-up of a Tu-144D with the fictitious registration CCCP-77061 hanging from an oval skylight above a large inclined escalator that accesses the 163-meter-long station platform.

One of the walls of the main platform is decorated with drawings of Tupolev aircraft in chronological order, starting with the propeller-driven ANT-3 and ending with the Tu-160 supersonic bomber. Each plane has a front view and a side view and of course among the planes represented is the Tu-144.
